CHARGES TO THE COMMITTEEE ON RETIREES RIGHTS

AND BENEFITS FOR FY-05

Standing Charges

 

1. Work with Human Resources and appropriate offices such as the Endacott Society, the Endowment Association, and the Provost’s Office to maintain an up-to-date roster of retirees.

 

2. Review current benefits and make recommendations concerning them.

3. Submit to SenEx: a) the approved minutes of each meeting; b) recommendations approved by the committee, and c) a final report by April 1, 2005. The final report should outline the committee’s accomplishments and make recommendations for the following year(s).

 

Additional charges

 

 

4.  Prepare a “Handbook for Retirees” that collects all pertinent information for retirees in one resource.

 

5.  Review Emeritus status to clarify what the qualifications are for it and what groups should be eligible.   (Review the discussion on this issue in the Faculty Council minutes of 5/06/04.)

 

6.  Pursue the re-incorporation of the retiree’s telephone listing into the general faculty and staff telephone listing of the University.
