Elements might include level of English training and support offered by the individual departments. This project is to evaluate the relative success of student teachers who do not have English as a primary language and to determine aspects of the individual and the assignment that might lead to more successful teaching. The committee would work with AEC personnel and various volunteer departments. The committee may determine that some forms of preparation are more valuable than others and provide the AEC with recommendations for University teaching requirements.
The committee would work with the Office of Study Abroad task force to determine if use of tuition enhancement or other student fees would be an acceptable use of student funds for students attending an international program in order to further the Universities international goals. The committee would make recommendations about levels of support and the method of allocation of those funds.
